Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 – review

Some of my favorites YouTubers “introduced” me this great polaroid camera!

Honestly, when I first saw Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 in this candy pink color I wanted to buy it but I did not know if it would deserve the money, so I did some research online before I make this purchase.
I checked the reviews on Amazon, and they were great! It looked so cheap on Amazon but with all that pricey shipping for my country, I found out that it would cost me less if I buy it from a local store.

I bought Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 for 80 euros and I bought one pack of film (here comes my first and only disappointment). The film is expensive! It costs 10 euros and it offers 10 images, so I am paying 1 euro for each picture. And this is an instant-printing camera, what if I take a picture which is bad? You throw away a euro.
Finally, I bought from eBay 2 packs of 10 Fujifilm instax Mini film Twin Pack for 14 euro, which is really a saving for me, (although I haven’t received them yet, they are coming from China).

Quality of photos:
Overall the photo quality is good, I noticed that my skin looks more smooth and clean with this analog camera and my mother also looks great in the photo.

Photo size
Small !!! The photos are about the size of a credit card, even smaller because the white border of the image takes a lot of place in the photo. But I don’t mind, I still like the camera!

Camera design and appearance
Very lightweight, compact design, beautiful colors!

Camera lighting mode
You can adjust the brightness of the photo by choosing the corresponding mode (Indoors, Cloudy, Sunny, Very Sunny). As you can see above the photo of me is very bright, it was taken with “Very sunny” mode and the photo of my mom (the darker one) was taken with the “Sunny” mode.

Using the camera at night – darkness

It has auto flash (day or night you will have a flash!) that brightens the objects close but the background is very dark. I guess you will not be able to take bright photos at night without too much lighting unless you are taking pictures of objects/people closely.

In general, I am completely satisfied with this cute camera ~only the film price bothers me~ but it reminds me to take photos sparingly and capture the special moments
